Trimming In/Out Points with your Mouse

One way you can trim your storyclips is by clicking and dragging the In or the Out border of the storyclip with your mouse. As you drag the In or Out point you will see two timecode fields displayed, one above and one below the storyclip. The upper timecode field indicates the In point of the storyclip while the lower field indicates the storyclip's In point position on the timeline.

Using your mouse, you can also trim the In and Out point of two storyclips simultaneously. To do this the storyclips must be adjacent. Place your mouse over the cut point between the clips and drag. Notice that an additional timecode field is now being displayed over the first storyclip's Out point. This timecode represents the clip's Out point timecode.

Important: When trimming the cut point between two adjacent storyclips, Incite Media Assistant will display both clips in the Monitor window. The Out point frame of the first storyclip is shown in the left monitor, while the In point frame of the second clip is shown in the right monitor. Note that this is a special use of the Monitor window where normally the left monitor is used for updating a selected storyclip and the right is used for previewing the storyboard sequence.
