Moving Clips with the Position Bar and Shortcut Keys

The second, perhaps more powerful way to move a storyclip is to select the clip, place the Position bar over the exact frame of the timeline you wish to use as the In or Out point of the clip and press either the F5 or Alt + F5 shortcut key.

Pressing F5 will match the In point of storyclip A1 to the Position bar:

Pressing Alt + F5 will match A1's Out point to the Position bar:

Pressing Shift + F5 (Ripple mode), the storyclip's In point will be matched to the Position bar and all material to the subsequent right of the storyclip being moved will be rippled. This is an effective way to create or close a gap in the timeline.
