Trimming In/Out Points with the In/Out Buttons

The Trim In and Trim Out buttons allow you to trim a clip using the Position bar. Placing the Position bar is useful for locating a specific frame within the clip (trimming the clip to make it shorter) or for locating a specific timeline frame (extending the length of the clip). You must first select the storyclip you wish to trim is you use the Trim In and Trim Out buttons.

   

   



Tips & Notes

·	Use the F buttons to move the Position bar frame by frame.

·	Use the shortcut key Q for Trim In and W for Trim Out.

·	Another way to change the In and Out points of a clip is to load it into the Monitor window, log new points and update the storyclip. For more see Loading and Updating a Storyclip.
