Ripple Mode

Ripple mode operates differently from the other two modes in that it does not have a specific mode button on the Storyboard window toolbar. As Ripple mode is used for the sole purpose of creating or closing a gap in the timeline, Ripple mode is accessed by physically moving one of your clips while pressing the Shift key.

Here's an example of how you can create a gap in the timeline. Select a specific clip, place the Position bar on the timeline where you want the new In position of the storyclip to be and then press Shift + F5.
