The Color Palette Drop-down Menu and the "T" button
The Color palette allows you to set and save specific font and color properties for Timecode entries and basic text. Once set, any timecode entry that is made will use the current parameters when ever you right-click on the specific TC button in the Preview/Logger area. The settings for basic text will be used whenever you type an entry.
To set the text parameters, first choose the font, size, style etc. and then click on the Color Palette. A drop down menu appears from which you can assign the settings to one of five options: TEXT, IN, OUT, DUR and POS.
These options let you assign standards for certain types of entries. For example, you could set an Arial, 16, blue font for all your In point entries and an Arial, 16, red font for all your Out point entries. When you click-right on the In or Out buttons (as described in the section above), these settings will be used to create the text entry that is automatically inserted.
The TEXT option lets you create default settings for the format you wish to use as "plain text" (i.e. information that is not timecode related). As now and then you may wish to change your "plain text" to evidence a word or a concept in the textual notes, you can quickly return to the TEXT default settings by pressing the "T" button.
