TV Mode

TV mode views the timeline of your sequence as if it were a piece of video tape. Whenever you insert or move a storyclip, TV mode will overwrite any overlapped material, erasing it from the sequence. Trimming or deleting clips will create gaps in your sequence.

   

Here is an example of how inserting a storyclip will overwrite previously inserted material:
