Once you have defined a task or group of tasks, pressing the Start button initiates the Conversion Server. Depending on the task (as defined by the Add Folder dialog box), the Conversion Server will either Convert all files on Start in the folder and then begin monitoring for new files or else check for new files and then Convert only new files. The Conversion Server monitors for new files every 5 seconds.
Once the Start button has been pressed, initiating the Conversion Server, a flashing Server Running indication appears. The Server will continue to monitor and convert files according to the task list until you press the Stop button. You must stop the Server before you can add, edit or delete tasks from the task list. However, you can run the Show Task command to view task details in the Task Info window (described below). You can start and stop the Server as often as you like. Only new tasks will perform a "first scan" while previously added tasks will continue with their periodic search for newly added material.
