Drag and Drop Insertion


You can also insert media files directly from the Catalog List directly to the Storyboard window by dragging and dropping the selected file or files. Inserting clips using this method, you will be by passing the preliminary steps of logging In and Out points for the storyclips. In other words, the entire duration of the media file will be used to create the storyclip.

To insert a single media file, click and drag its picon to the storyboard.

To insert a series of storyclips, press the Ctrl key and select the media files you wish to insert. Select them in the order you wish them to appear in the storyboard. Once you have selected the last media file, without releasing Ctrl, drag the selection to the storyboard window and release the mouse click. The position of the mouse is used to determine the initial insertion frame. A timecode information field appears at the bottom of the timeline to help you locate the specific frame you wish to use.

Tips & Notes


·If you press the Alt key while releasing the mouse-click, the storyclip(s) will be inserted beginning from the current location of the Position bar (and not the position of the mouse).
