3.13 Converting IML Files

Incite Media List (IML) files can be imported for the conversion of all media files contained within the IML. An IML is basically a single video track sequence created from an Incite Media Assistant or Incite Storyboard (an IML may also include up to 4 linked audio tracks). IML files, how they are created, exported and import as sequences, are discussed in chapters 4 and 6 of this manual. Here we will discuss how IML files, after they have been created, can be used to convert the original media files making up the sequence.

To convert an IML:

1.Open the Converter window you wish to use (AVI, QT or RM) and verify/change your conversion parameters.
2.Click on Import IML on the Converter window's main toolbar.
3.An open dialog box appears. Use this window to browse for the IML file and open it.
4.As soon as you open the file, Incite Media Assistant begins conversion. The converted files are placed in the file folder designated by the Files/Folders tab (unless you have the Do not use Automatic Naming option activated).
5.To verify conversion, look under the Details tab.

Tips & Notes

·Important: The original media files, and not the edited storyclips, are used for the conversion.
