Video Quality
To select the proper video quality option, you should bear in mind what type of content you are going to transmit. Is there a lot of pixel change from frame to frame or is the image relatively static? Using these options may help you optimize the compromise between video motion and image quality.

·Normal Motion Video - Use this option for media files that have mixed content (e.g. Background motion, static foreground).
·Smoothest Motion Video - This option is useful for images with very little change from frame to frame (i.e. a speaker on an unchanging background).
·Sharpest Image Video - If image content contains a lot of motion, this option will optimize image quality.
·Slide Show - Creates an RM file that streams as a series of slides. This option provides the highest quality image.
·No Video - This option excludes video, letting you create an audio RM file from a media file that originally had a stream of video and audio.

Target Audience
Target Audience options let you select the intended bandwidth of your viewers. If you are using the multi-rate SureStream option, you can select more than one target bandwidth (for more, see File Type below). Lower bandwidth ratings are for standard Internet connections (28K, 56K, ISDN) while the higher bandwidths are generally used for Local Area Network transmissions.

File Type
·Single-rate for web servers -- This option creates a single-rate clip so you can choose only 1 target audience bandwidth.
·Multi-rate SureStream - SureStream is a feature of RealProducer that lets you combine several audio or video streams, designated for different target audiences, in a single media file. Selecting this file type, you can have more than one option activated under Target Audience. When it comes time to receive, the most suitable stream for the viewer is transmitted. The RealPlayer 5 Compatible option will also include a separate stream for viewers using this older version of RealPlayer.

Audio Format
Converting audio into RM format, the file must either be an audio file only or a video file with audio incorporated as part of the file. Linked audio files cannot be included in the conversion of video files (as you can when converting into AVI or QT formats). To convert linked video and audio media files together you must first convert into an AVI format and then RM. For more see the Convert to AVI options. When working with incorporated audio or pure audio files, you can use these options.

·No Audio - Excludes audio
·Voice Only - Optimized for foreground sound (files with little or no background sound or music).
·Voice with Background Music - Optimized for files with foreground and background sound.
·Music - Optimized for musical content.
·Stereo Music -- Also for musical content. This option, however, will produce lower quality files in respect to the Music option.

Noise Filtering
Before converting the file to RM format, you may wish to apply a noise filter to improve picture quality. The Low Noise filter will adjust mild levels of noise while the High Noise filter will help fix badly distorted images.

Emphasize Audio
Activating this option, the audio stream, when transmitted from the server, will be given emphasize (at the cost of the video stream) if there is a weak connection.

Frame Size
Incite Media Assistant lets you change the frame size of the video file when converting to RealMedia format. The drop down menu provides a list of standard sizes.

Clip Info
The Clip Info button launches the Clip Information dialog box. Insert the author of the media file being transmitted, a copyright date, a description of the media content, and keywords that will be useful for helping viewers locate your file when browsing the Web (that will be used in search engines etc.)

Default Settings
To quickly reset the RM tab to the default settings, press the Default button.

Tips & Notes

·If you are creating a temporary AVI file first, Incite Media Assistant will use the frame size attributes designated by the AVI converter to create the AVI, then the RealMedia frame size to convert the AVI into RealMedia.
