1. | Open the Video tab in the AVI Converter window.

2. | Press the Select Video Format button.

3. | Select Matrox MJPEG as the compressor using the Compressor menu.

4. | Press the Configure button and select DigiSuite from the Use Video Quality Range menu.

5. | Moving the Frame Size toggle, you can select the frame size. In this case, move the toggle all the way to the right (the numbers should be replaced with "------", indicating it is lossless quality).

6. | The Equivalent Data Rate (Quality) field tells you the equivalent data rate in MB per second for both PAL and NTSC for the selected frame size.

7. Once selected, close the Configure window and the Video Format window.
|
|
8. Next, open the Audio tab in the AVI Converter window.
|
|
9. Select Convert External Audio to MONO WAV Files. This will convert the "external" DTV audio files (two linked Stereo files: A1 and A3) into 4 mono audio files (A1, A2, A3, A4) for DigiSuite.

10. Now that you have establish the video and audio parameters, select the DV media files you wish to convert. Right click on one of the selected files and run the Convert Selected AVI command. The files will be added to the task list and conversion will begin for the first file.
