Media Management - Incite Media Assistant provides tools for browsing and previewing your media files, letting you manage this media on your own system or over a network environment (video server, LAN, Internet, etc.). Incite Media Assistant's media management tools include a Search mode utility, the ability to handle all related or "linked" media files as if they were one file, and, most importantly, the possibility of viewing your video and audio material directly within the Catalog window without the need of dedicated hardware. In addition you can quickly make printouts of the media files in a file folder or generate an HTML page with links and icons for each media file.
Media File Conversion - Incite Media Assistant operates as an excellent conversion tool. With three built in converters (one for AVI, one for QuickTime and one for RealMedia formats), you can have multiple, batch conversion sessions underway simultaneously. You can convert into any file format currently available on your system as an installed codec. In addition, Incite Media Assistant features the Conversion Server, a powerful automation tool that monitors file folders and immediately converts any new media it detects.
A Non-linear Editor - Incite Media Assistant is also an NLE application in its own right. You can create storyclips or "edited versions" of media files and insert them to the Storyboard window's timeline. Once on the timeline, Incite Media Assistant offers a wide array of editing tools for setting up the sequence and trimming the cut points.
Exporting Your Edited Sequence - Once a storyboard is created, Incite Media Assistant lets you export the sequence in a variety of ways. For instance, you can export an IML file (Incite Media List) and automatically reproduce the sequence on an Incite storyboard without having to recapture media files. You can generate timecode text files of a sequence, exporting storyclip timecode information for database inclusion or printouts. In addition, you can generate AVI or QuickTime movies of the sequence choosing from any of the codecs you currently have installed on your system.
